Keep it Simple.
Keep it simple, stupid or (KISS) is a design principle which states “designs and/or systems should be as simple as possible. Complexity, on the other hand, should be avoided at all costs within a system—as simplicity guarantees the greatest levels of user acceptance and interaction.”
The “Keep It Simple” concept has also been used throughout history in science, philosophy, religion, AA and even the U.S. Navy. Or in the words of Leonardo da Vinci: “Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.
Responsive.
As more and more web visits are currently generated on mobile devices as compared to desktop (68.81% mobile compared to 32.19% desktop) it is becoming more and more obvious, and critical, that all websites need to be “responsive” in design.
Responsive design simply means that a single website layout functions for both desktop and mobile viewers, as web page elements “responsively” adjust to fit the screen size that they are viewed upon. Right?
WordPress.
WordPress is the world’s most popular website builder. In fact, over 43% of all web content is built with WordPress. More bloggers, small businesses, and Fortune 500 companies use WordPress than all of the other options combined.
WordPress also offers an easy to access backend allowing for easy editing and updating. Which is the main reason that we build all of our web sites with WordPress exclusively. Can you blame us?
Bullet Proof.
WordPress is one of the most reliable platforms for building and managing websites there is on the market today. It’s been around for over 20+ years and is used by millions of website developers worldwide.
However, as with any platform, it is important to ensure that WordPress is kept up to date and secure and that includes all plug-ins as well to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Be careful out there.
